The effects of concentration on reaction rates Essay I could back this conclusion up by doing two things. Firstly, I could use my average time graph (graph 1) to work out what time any concentration would take to complete its reaction. This is especially because of the fact that all my results I tested followed a trend. What I can do is to look where any concentration level is in line with the line of best fit, and then I could take this point on the line of best fit and look to see where that point lines up with the time taken. An example is on the next page: Here you can see that the point indicated as the intersecting point is where the concentration levels and time taken axis meet on the line of best fit. This is exactly how I could prove my conclusion correct, by taking any concentration, and then test the concentration in the same way as in my method to see if the time taken follows this pattern. If it does, then I could easily prove my conclusion to be correct. Evaluation: The times would have been very unlikely to be the same, particularly under the conditions of the fact that we had a strict time limit of two lessons, including getting the equipment out and clearing it up again. Overall, this was a very tight deadline to meet, and I eventually realised I needed to try and run my first and second tests simultaneously in the second lesson, as I was nearly out of time. This rush could easily have affected my final results in several ways, all because of the rush I was in to get all my results. The magnesium floating in the HCl may have been a problem too. I dont think it would have affected the results much, but because it was floating, not all of the magnesium was in the acid at the same time throughout the reaction, and therefore this may have meant the reaction took longer as it couldnt react with all of the magnesium straight away. I could have got over this by poking the Mg down, but that may have affected the results as well. If I were to use a substance that would react with the HCl in ANY way (even if it would be unnoticeable to the naked eye), then the reaction rates would have probably slowed down, because some of the HCl would have reacted with the other substance, leaving less of it to react with the Mg. The other (more obvious) point is that I would have found it hard to poke three pieces of Mg in different test tubes down at once. The other way which I could have solved this, would be to make the density of the Mg larger, so that the Mg would sink naturally to the bottom of the test tube. This could have been done either by redoing the tests with more magnesium (a longer strip), or by using less HCl. I would have done this, but the tight time limit meant that I couldnt redo all the tests that I have already done in time, before realising this. Another way my results could have been affected is that because the 0. 1 reading took a long time to complete, meaning that I may not have noticed that the reaction had finished straight away. I dont think this happened, though, so Im not too worried about this. Finally, and this occurred in my second test which could indeed explain my ringed faulty result, I admit, time got the better of me and so I didnt wash out my measuring cylinder out after measuring each concentration of acid. I may have measured smaller concentrations first and these concentrations could have mixed with the one I was using then to not give the mole that I said I was using for this test. To get over this problem, I could either have rinsed out the cylinder before measuring each concentration, or even by sharing cylinders with other people, of which each cylinder would only be used for one concentration. Enrique Camarena Essay

Enrique Salazar Camarena, also known as â€Å"Kiki†, was born on July 26, 1947 in Mexicali, Mexico. At the age of nine Camarena moved to the U.S. and settled in Calexico, California. He worked in the fields with his family picking plums and peaches. Camarena yearned to get a proper education and soon it came. He took advantage of this opportunity and became an ethical student. He played football, basketball and helped publish the yearbook. Camarena was voted â€Å"Best all Around Senior.† He decided to attend college and enter the law enforcement field. Camarena served in the U.S. Marines, and became a Legal Clerk and a Court Recorder. In 1970, Camarena departed from the Marines and worked with the Calexico Fire Department. Camarena became a part of the Calexico Police Department as a Criminal Investigator in 1970, while he attended Imperial Valley College. There he got an AA degree and criminal justice degree. Camarena was sent to the El Centro, California Police Department Office and became a Narcotics Investigator for the Imperial County. In 1874, Camarena join the DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration). Camarena was a talented Drug Enforcement Special Agent. Camarena and family were transferred to an undercover investigation in Guadalajara, Mexico. In Guadalajara, his mission was to stop the Caro-Quintero Organization. Caro-Quintero, at the age 32, was the main leader of the wealthy organization. Camarena was about to conclude his case when he was captured during his lunch hour. It was the afternoon of February 7, 1985 when Camarena didn’t come home so his wife contacted his close friend, who then reported the kidnapping to the U.S. law enforcement officers. There was a vast amount of law enforcement officers sent to search for Camarena. There were a lot of people worried but no one was able to find Camarena. People said that the Caro-Quintero had paid the clubs to stay quiet. A few days later the law enforcement officers received a letter from an unknown person stating Camarena could be found at a ranch in Moreno, Mexico. When the law enforcement officers went to search the ranch they found nothing except a family that had been murdered. Later that same evening someone had stated they thought they had seen a dead body right outside the ranch. Sure enough  the dead body was Camarena. He had been savagely beaten and tortured to death. The date of his death was March 7, 1985. Till this day law enforcement officers do not know who actually murdered Camarena, but they do have their suspicions. About twenty-two people have been thought of pertaining or murdering Camarena. Twelve had been convicted; three of which were members of the Caro-Quientero Organization. Enrique Camarena People from all around respected Camarena. On February7, 1986 Calexico held a special ceremony in honor of him at the Calexico Library. The library has also been renamed Enrique â€Å"Kiki† Camarena Library. Camarena’s family wore red ribbons to honor him. The ribbons proclaimed â€Å"No use of illegal drugs, or no illegal use of legal drugs.† Now people all over the U.S, wear red ribbons on the days of Oct. 23- 31.

They need a place of refuge in order to survive. Humans, although we do not fly south, must move from one place to another in order to either live, find happiness, or experience societal needs. While some may have generally one motive for their migration, most will inhabit some other reasons for moving from their homeland. A current issue in today’s world is the crisis occurring in the Middle East. People in that area are having land disputes for, mainly, both cultural and economic reasons.
